Writing skills - Fairy Tales and Stories
Students looked at traditional fairy tales as well as alternative, more up-to-date versions. They studied how to use adjectives effectively to bring the story to life as well as the use of the past simple tense. Finally, students were shown how to add reported speech to give their characters a voice.

Speaking skills - Interviewing Famous People
Students played a game to guess the identity of a famous person using closed questions. They then discussed what it might be like to be a celebrity, and the advantages and disadvantages that might come with fame.
Students considered the type of questions they would like to ask a famous person and looked at the use of questions words and questions forms. They then chose a famous person and prepared questions in order to conduct an interview for a magazine.
