New Forest Language School specialises in small, personally-run courses with a limited number of participants so that students are able to maximise their learning experience with us.
We value the importance of stimulating, creative English lessons within a safe environment so that students can make friends, develop their confidence and have plenty of opportunity to practise their English in and out of the classroom.
We place a strong emphasis on communication skills encouraging each student to communicate confidently and fluently in English. Most importantly, students are expected to have fun!
This is achieved through a mixture of tasks such as:
- role plays
- quizzes, competitions, questionnaires
- language games and music
- individual, group and pair work
- group projects
- dialogue and conversation
- discussion
- video filming
- grammar and sentence structure
- extended learning in afternoon activities and excursions
In addition, students are given small activities to undertake with their host families. This may include writing a diary, conducting interviews and completing questionnaires.
